  I've been here many times, it's close to my house, and my dog is part of the wellness plan. Overall, it's an OK facility. I've been too much worse. I refuse to go for grooming or check ups. With the young, female vet, Stephanie, she was muzzled, clipped toenails bleeding, & vet + tech wrestled her to the ground to look in her ears. I paid $300, and walked out with a recommendation for an over-the-counter ear solution & a very traumatized pup w bleeding toes. Tthe active wellness plan is saves hundreds on Anastasia alone, for dental, and includes vaccines, & anesthesia (VCA North County s "free first time exam" gave me an estimate of $880). The female, Stephanie, we will probably not recommend. Dr. Donnelly and Dr. May (30 yr exp) are awesome. Dr. Donnelly was very friendly and great at answering my many questions after dental surgery. We go to Melrose vet (my dog loves going there.) Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Marcos for Emergency care. Petsmart the store, has cashiers that areoftrm grumpy. They refuse to accept my coupons. Update 8/15/17: What an amazing experience we had going to see Dr. May! He is great with dogs. Very knowledgeable with 30 years experience. He took his time to answer all of my questions. He had a calm demeanor and my dog absolutely loved him. We will be requesting him from now on. Banfield went up to 4 stars. Thank you Dr. May!
